Hi, I'm Kimberly Surovchak. When I think back to my childhood, it feels like a whirlwind of adventure and movement. I moved 8 times and even lived in magical places like Hawaii. You can imagine how thrilling it was for a six-year-old to island hop and then return to snowy Michigan just in time for the blizzard of 1978!
My happy place was biking in the countryside and walking and exploring the endless fields - even a few sinkholes - around our house. I also cherished moments with my big family, especially at gatherings where my aunts and uncles would fill the room with music. It was a simpler time, full of love and laughter.
Growing up, I imagined becoming a flight attendant, inspired by my dad who worked as an air traffic controller. But life took different turns. My real journey into real estate started in 2008.
It was a tough time for my family when the housing market crashed, and my husband’s business, which he had worked so hard to build, began to crumble. It was a real punch to the gut, seeing everything that was familiar and reliable slip away. We had to find a way to move forward.
A cousin, who was also a real estate agent, approached me and sparked a thought. That was my lightbulb moment! I had always thought real estate was an interesting field, but never chased the dream.
Encouraged by her and driven by the need to stabilize our lives, I got my real estate license and stepped into this new world.
I didn’t stop there—in one of the biggest boosts to my career, I worked at a title company, immersing myself in the intricate details of home buying. Little by little, it began piecing together like a jigsaw puzzle that somehow managed to fit perfectly.
Now, as a real estate agent in the Greater Toledo Area, I have a clear mission: to help right-sizing families transition smoothly using my “Curated Living” Method.
But what truly sets me apart is that I don’t do it alone. My husband—who can fix or build just about anything—is my behind-the-scenes partner. Together, we help clients get their homes ready to shine before listing. We have also tackled those must-do updates after the sale to help them fall in love with their new space. Our clients don’t just get an agent—they get a team that truly cares.
My core values like family, authenticity, and curiosity guide me in all I do. I believe that you should do what's right, always have a heart full of love for people, and look for the sunshine even on cloudy days. Life's journey has taught me so much, and I’m here to share those lessons with you, one home at a time.
